The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has lambasted fellow pastor Isaac Kofi Oduro for defending a failed prophecy by prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun.
Rev Owusu-Bempah criticised Rev Oduro, the founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry, for defending the founder of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet ElBernard Nelson-Eshun.
According to Owusu-Bempah, Rev Oduro is being hypocritical because he has previously criticised many pastors in the country, describing them as fake over their prophecies.
He therefore finds it surprising that the same pastor is now defending ElBernard Nelson-Eshun’s failed prophecy regarding the New Patriotic Party presidential primaries.
Rev Oduro recently came to the defence of Prophet ElBernard after his prediction that Kennedy Agyapong, a former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, would win the party’s presidential primaries proved inaccurate.
Oduro argued that Ghanaians should forgive the prophet, noting that he is human and that men of God do not always get their prophecies right.
However, the comment did not sit well with Owusu-Bempah, who described the pastor as a hypocrite for what he says is selective criticism within the prophetic ministry.
Speaking to his congregation in a viral video, Owusu-Bempah said, “when your government comes to power, then you become pompous because you go to the office of the president to pray for him. But when a prophet gives a prophecy and it fails, you come back to criticise him.
“I always speak the truth. Prophet Kofi Oduro I don’t hate him but he is hypocritical. Some pastors gave prophecies and he insulted them. But recently Prophet ElBernard prophesied and it failed, and he said because he is his friend, Ghanaians should forgive him and lift him up.
“This is very hypocritical because the others who also prophesied can we not lift them up as well?”
Meanwhile, ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly apologised after his prophecy that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP presidential primaries failed to come to pass.
ElBernard had made the prediction through a book, videos, and media interviews, declaring that Kennedy Agyapong would emerge victorious.
However, following Saturday’s January 31, 2026, elections, he admitted his error in a detailed public statement shared via his Facebook page.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he stated.

He acknowledged the weight of his public declaration and took full responsibility for his actions.
“Because I spoke publicly with prophetic authority, many people trusted my word, and some were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically. I acknowledge this with humility. I take full responsibility for this prophetic word. I do not blame anyone or shift responsibility. I accept that this prophecy, as declared, failed,” he added.
The prophet also expressed regret to those who acted based on his message.
“I sincerely apologise to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted in any way,” he said.
He added that the experience has caused him to “pause, reflect, and realign myself in accountability and discernment regarding how prophetic revelations are communicated.”
