Media personality, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, has announced that he will fiercely defend himself, including the possible use of a firearm, if Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah carries out his alleged threats to attack him.

The controversial pastor allegedly threatened to have the radio presenter killed after the latter accused him of being a fraud and a womaniser who deceives the public.

In an alleged telephone conversation between the two which was played live on Angel FM, during Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah's show and monitored by GhanaWeb, a voice said to be Rev. Owusu-Bempah's was heard threatening to 'finish' the presenter and remove his intestines if they met face-to-face.

He also allegedly threatened to hire thugs to beat him severely to teach him a lesson.

Responding to the alleged threat, the outspoken media personality warned that he would resist any attempt on his life with all the force he can muster, including the use of a gun to defend himself.

"Owusu-Bempah has said he will hire thugs to assault me. I am informing the Ghana Police Service that if these thugs come after me, I will not stand by idly. He has threatened to remove my intestines. If he comes, as I’ve said, I will not stand still—I am not a statue. If something happens, I have already forewarned.

"Let me sound this warning. COP Kofi Boakye once told me that if someone threatens to kill you, if you can, go and beg the person, because after they kill you, nothing will happen. As for me, I will not sit down and let someone kill me, because my family wouldn’t mind spending GH₵100,000 on a coffin to bury me. If they can spend GH₵100,000 on a coffin, one pistol in Ghana costs between GH₵14,000 to GH₵20,000. If I divide that amount by five, I can buy five pistols. So, I am warning anyone coming after me that when you come, it is war.

"And I’m not afraid—it's 'one day born, one day die.' I’m not a coward. Tell Owusu-Bempah that he is not a pastor; he’s a scam who has succeeded in deceiving people into thinking he is a man of God. Whenever I’m on my show, I carry a small bag with me. That bag doesn’t contain money. Someone should try something and see what happens," Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah stated.
