Mrs. Yvonne Nduom – the wife of Progressive People’s Party’s flag bearer Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom – has emphasised she has no interest to contest for the highest office of the land.
“No,” Mrs Nduom opined in response to a listener’s comment enquiring whether she harbours the same ambition as her husband.
Mrs. Nduom stressed: “I’m not interested in the presidency.”
However, the eloquent 63-year-old entrepreneur told host of Morning Starr Nii Arday Clegg she will continue to throw her weight behind Dr. Nduom to attain his highest political ambition.
“I’m doing this to support my husband and I believe he can transform Ghana in the next four years. After that’s it. I don’t have political ambitions,” Mrs. Nduom stated onStarr 103.5FM.
Mrs. Nduom noted her husband has Ghana at heart and will deliver if given the mandate to rule the country come December 7 when the nation goes to the polls.
According to her, Dr. Nduom has over 20 factories in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Ebirem (KEEA) in the Central region which is a “model” to prove that the business magnate can do more once given the chance to rule.
“We are not doing one factory-one district or one dam-one district… we are going to build factories in districts,” Mrs. Nduom stated.
