Presidential candidate for the Independent People's Party (IPP), Kofi Akpaloo has expressed strong optimism of winning the 2016 presidential election with a wide margin.
According to him, he is the next president of Ghana and he will win this election. He was speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwabena Agyapong host of Eboboba on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.
Mr. Akpaloo said, just like the biblical character John the Baptist, the current President John Dramani Mahama and our former Presidents, John Rawlings, John Kufour and the late John Evans Atta Mills have paved the way for him to take over the management of the country.
He said, the IPP as part of its policies will pay Child Benefits of GHC 15 cedis pay month while the unemployed youth would also receive Unemployment Benefit of GHC 100 cedis pay month.
''We need to generate more income by creating opportunities for our youth to work. We need the enabling environment to make businesses thrive.''
The IPP he noted, have the best policies to help small scale businesses thrive, expand and create more jobs for the youth.
"I want to put money directly into people’s pockets," he told Rainbow Radio's Kwabena Agyapong "So a child below 15 years will be paid direct benefit [of] GH¢15 every month. If you are above 18 years, we will pay you unemployment benefit [of] GHC 100 cedis per month".
Kofi Akpaloo indicated further that a GH¢10,000 support fund will be set up for those who want to start their own businesses, especially university graduates.
''We will set up a ten billion dollar job fund; and so when you graduate from the university, we'll give you the capital to set up your own business. And we know that, by the time we exit from power in 2024, we would have created 1 million new entrepreneurs who would also create 5 million jobs.
