I’ve never hit Nana Oye; she rather ‘beats’ me - Tony Lithur

Husband of former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, Lawyer Tony Lithur has debunked claims by his wife that he abused her in the over 20 years of their married life.

MyNewsGH.com who broke the news of the divorce learnt from the docket copy making rounds on social media that Nana Oye Lithur has told most of their family friends that her husband is a wife-beater.

When news of the divorce went viral, many social media users felt Nana Oye Lithur might have had enough of the beatings from the husband and she should be happy he is calling it quits.

But it is now emerging that Mr Lithur has never raised his hand against Nana Oye Lithur, but on the contrary, the Human rights campaigner rather abused him at home at the least chance.

Tony Lithur also alleged that Madam Nana Oye Lithur cheated on him and has multiple sexual partners and she did not attend to her marital duties. He explained that she is consumed with her public life than to attend to her home affairs and contributes nearly zero to the home.

He is requesting the court to not only dissolve the marriage but also ensure she does not get any of his properties because she did not contribute in any way to their acquisition.
