Alhaji Bashiru Nii Narh Alema, one of the contestants of the Greater Accra Regional Vice Chairmanship of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed his commitment to train the youth in entrepreneurship and business management for free.

He also promised to fight the cause of the Klottey Korley Constituency executives in the region to ensure that their challenges were resolved immediately for a smooth running of their offices.

Alhaji Alema, who is also a consultant in entrepreneurship and business establishment, was speaking to the Ghana News Agency during a campaign tour of the Odododiodioo Constituency in Accra.

He also visited some of the constituencies in the region and interacted with the delegates as the regional elections draw near in August this year.

Alhaji Alema said: “The delegates in the region realising that I can do more for them, kept persisting me to vie for the Vice-Chairmanship to represent them at the secretariat; a request I cannot disappoint them.”

He told the delegates that he saw himself as the most suitable candidate to occupy the Vice-Chairman’s position because of his past loyalty and dedicated service to the NDC.

“I have been working consistently at the grass root level since 1991-92, rose through the ranks to become the Klottey Korley Constituency Chairman and now aspiring to become the Regional Vice in the party,” he said.

The contestant assured the delegates of his readiness to work with the entire executives in the region, stressing that a close collaboration between all factions was vital for development at all the constituencies and urged the officers of the constituencies in the region to reach out to the people to mobilise more support for the NDC while calling on them to be committed to the cause of the supporters.

Mr Rakim Derek, one of the aspirants contesting for the position of Deputy Secretary in the region, who was with Alhaji Alema at the campaign tour called on the delegates to vote for him to champion the cause of development in the Greater Accra Region.

“We should concentrate on things that will move the party forward and put aside things that will divide us,” he advised.
