Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has denied authoring statement-describing supporters of former President Mahama as bootlickers.
The deputy scribe who is vying for the position as general secretary in the statement said, ‘’It has come to the notice of Koku Anyidoho, a write up being circulated on social media, and some news portals purported to have been authored by me, urging NDC members to a particular course.’’
The earlier statement purportedly coming for Mr Anyidoho said “The NDC must filter itself clean of people who now surprisingly portray themselves as hallowed bootlickers of former President Mahama, yet not very long ago were operating from the wardrobes of Vice President Aliu Mahama against the Presidential bid of H. E President John Evans Atta-Mills.”
“Be that as it may, the venerable and never-vindictive Professor Mills, defied cautious counsel and brought all of them under his fold including their avowed deity who led the party to it most miserable defeat. They fail to ask, what happened to the vibrant, strong NDC Prof. Mills left?”
“The NDC that these “Latter-Day Saints”, who shout their phony love for the party so hard now is certainly not what Prof. Mills left us. The one that had members as true Cadres of the principles of probity and accountability.”
But Mr Anyidoho has flatly denied the statement saying, ‘’I want to state without any doubt that, I have not written or cause to be written any letter, article, or any document in whatever form addressed to NDC members, any group, or intended to share my opinion.
This can only emanate from people who are bent on creating mischief, division, and hate that will derail the progressive course and cohesion of NDC. I therefore urge all members to disregard the purported write up and treat it with the contempt that it deserves.
