A Communication member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region, Opoku Mensah has stated while speaking on Kumasi based radio station Abusua FM that, the "incompetent" title that has been granted to former President Mahama is not transferable.
He passed the comment following a statement by Mr Mahama who said President Akufo Addo is "super incompetent" on how he is running the affairs of Ghana.
Mr Mensah said Mr Mahama has won for himself the "incompetent tag" for his poor governance and that title cannot be transferred to any member of the Akufo Addo administration talk less of the President himself.
He said, “Mahama and his NDC should not force their ‘incompetent’ tag on any NPP Member more so the President. Mahama won that tag for his poor leadership during his tenure as president, it is a reward for him and the NDC. They should be labeled as super incompetent, they have graduated”.
On recounting the events that unraveled under the Mahama administration, Mr Opoku said that babies who were born in the NDC government paid light bills in hospitals and students also paid light bills while unemployment was on the rise.
He fired the largest opposition party saying, “How dare NDC people call Nana Addo incompetent, when people are enjoying free SHS, when teachers are being employed, allowance to nurses & teachers are being paid. How dare you call such a leader incompetent”.
"We must make sure the tag ‘incompetent’ remains only at the doorstep of the NDC. Former President Mahama and his people cannot distract with their noise of ‘incompetent".
"President Nana Addo is focused to deliver his promises to the good people of Ghana. It is clear the NDC cannot stand the speed at which Nana Addo is delivering his promises" he added.
