Former Ghana captain Joe Addo has hailed the ‘impressive’ performance of Kevin-Prince Boateng in Ghana’s 4-0 trouncing of South Korea in a pre-World Cup friendly on Monday night.
The Schalke 04 star led the Black Stars midfield as they outclassed the Asians to enter Brazil in buoyant mood.
Despite criticisms about Boateng’s rough play, Addo feels the former AC Milan star’s contribution to the game was crucial.
“We were lacking that confidence to play against them, but Boateng showed he was a world class midfielder and hustled them well though he was a bit rough at time but on a whole he was good,” he told Accra-based Oman FM.
Boateng, who will be playing at his second World Cup for Ghana, is expected to play an influential role for the Black Stars.
