The brouhaha surrounding the alleged stolen state vehicle by Actor John Dumelo appears not to be dying soon as many have trolled him following the reports by the media.
Recent to join the fray is the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Benard Antwi Boasiako who has called the movie icon a criminal and an opportunist.
According to him, John Dumelo is a greedy and sluggish young man who wants to enjoy riches he is not ready to work for. He said Dumelo uses his wit and looks to attract women in order to exploit them for personal gains.
“I’ve said it here before, that this guy is greedy, when you love women its good but when you look at him, he is not someone who would want to work hard for money, he always wants to use his wit to exploit women to his advantage, that guy is a criminal, John Dumelo is a criminal guy”, he said.
Citing an instance where the actor requested President Akufo-Addo sometime back to pay a fee to get his support, the business tycoon said Dumelo tries to play smart at all times just like he did with the NDC government, covering up what was wrong just so he could get the reward of a bribe.
Chairman Wontumi downplayed the actor’s looks and monetary status, according to him, he (Wontumi) is more good-looking and richer compared to Dumelo and that his hard work has put him in a position where he could have slotted an appointment if he wanted.
“I’m more handsome than him, I am handsome and I have money but I am hardworking. Women love me more than they do him but I respect women. You think if I wanted an appointment I wouldn’t have gotten one, if I did, I would have”, he said.
He charged the IGP and security persons to investigate and prosecute John Dumelo accordingly. This he said will serve as a determent to others who may want to exploit state resources to their benefit.
“He needs to be jailed and remanded in police custody…the IGP is expected to take this up and ensure that nobody tries to steal state properties when a government is leaving office so that everyone in Ghana can see”.
