Ghana ace Jordan Ayew has returned to training at Crystal Palace following an enforced break due to the cornavirus.

The Eagles leading scorer this season joined other teammates in small groups to train, amid strict measures to control the spread of COVID-19.

As part of the Premier League's Project Restart, training at the first phase involves small groups which allows footballers build up pitch-conditioning and taking part in basic ball work with social distancing guidelines maintained at all times.

With 25 players present on Tuesday, there were three sessions for three groups.

The next phase of training will see a much larger group in a bid to prepare teams for the return of the Premier League.

The English topflight league has been on a ten week suspension due to COVID-19, but it is expected to return in June and ended in July.

Ayew has netted eight times this season for the Eagles as they lie 11th on the table before the break.
