The Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Kofi Akpaloo has commended former Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Kojo Bonsu, for his bold decision to the join the National Democratic Congress Flagbearership race.
Kojo Bonsu, who was appointed by the then President John Dramani Mahama to run the affairs of KMA is poised to contest his boss, Mahama and other party stalwarts in a race that promises to be keenly contested amongst the likes of Prof. Joshua Alabi, Alban Babgin, and Sylvester Mensah.
Kofi Akpaloo in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive plainly noted that per the track record of the vibrant Kojo Bonsu, he stands the chance of performing better than his Boss, John Dramani Mahama should he gets the nod as the party’s flagbearer.
“ He can do better than John Mahama, …in fact he can do better, 100, 000 times better than Mahama.” People should not see him as an ordinary person has gone to pick up forms.
He explained that everywhere he goes he brings transformation to his handy works, thus comparing him to former boss of the Zylofon Cash Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Herbert Mensah.
And that the gentleman who is a royal from the Ashanti Kingdom is synonymous with success, particularly with an enviable record of reviving Ghana Oil Company, GOIL, which is seen as one of the vibrant companies in Ghana.
Mr. Bonsu is a former board chairman of the National Sports Authority who spearheaded the re-branding of the sports council until it subsequently became a sports authority.
Quizzed whether Mr. Bonsu could perform better than him, the Liberal Party of Ghana Leader quickly responded in the negative and added that himself, Kojo Bonsu and Herbert have the same qualities.
They could turn the fortunes of Ghana around for the citizenry.
