Kumasi, March 29, GNA - Residents in the Kumasi metropolis experienced partial eclipse of the sun on the early hours of Wednesday. Prior to the information that the event was going to take place, most people decided to remain indoors with their children to avoid any mishaps.
Few cars were seen on the roads while market stalls and shops remained closed.
Sirens sounded at 0830 hours as darkness gradually covered the city. Many residents stayed around their television sets and watched the occurrence in other parts of the country.
Drivers drove with their lights on with some hooting the horns of their vehicles while people stood standstill watching what was going on.
