Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has replied Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III
New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has taken issue with remarks made by Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III, describing the chief’s comments in a viral video as disrespectful and unbecoming of a traditional leader.
The video, which circulated widely on social media, captured the chief making statements that Agyapong said demeaned him and others, including referring to them as ‘sankwas.’
In a viral video on X on December 10, 2025, Agyapong rejected the label and insisted that such language should not come from someone occupying a revered stool.
According to Kwabena Agyapong, he is ‘well-trained and well-mannered,’ emphasising his royal background and the values of discipline and respect that shaped his upbringing.

He argued that these principles stand in direct contrast to the chief’s comments.
“If he does not respect himself, we respect ourselves,” Agyapong stated, adding that public discourse especially from traditional authorities must reflect decorum and responsibility.
The incident has fuelled online discussions over the standards of language and behaviour expected from traditional and political leaders alike.
