Kwabenya cell break: 2 out of 7 escapees arrested

The police have arrested two of the seven inmates, who escaped from the Kwabenya Police Station on Sunday after a raid by some armed men.

Attah Kwadwo, 20, and Prince Osei, 27, were arrested at Worawora in the Volta Region on Monday.

Three other persons including a 28-year-old woman by name Nancy Bentaa have also been arrested by the police to aid in investigations.

All these were disclosed by the Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu, on Thursday when he gave the press a progress report on efforts put in by his outfit to fish out the escapees and the men who broke into the police station.
