The three-day national mourning for former United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan Busumuru has begun.
The remains of Mr. Annan arrived in Ghana yesterday and was met by mourners at the Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who led the welcome party appeared devastated by the death of the global icon.
Currently, the body of the former UN has been laid in state for public viewing at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Mr. Annan died in a Swiss hospital on August 18 after a short illness.
