‘Fire Man’, Countryman Songo is back on air after a brief hiatus from his popular Fire for Fire sports show.

The host of Adom TV’s Fire for Fire program Patrick Osei Agyemang alias Countryman Songo was reportedly suspended by Multimedia Group Limited more than two months ago after he directed yet another set of invectives at then GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi who had sued him defamation.

The move by his employers according to reports was upon a request by Kwesi Nyantakyi to have the three-time Radio and Television Personality (RTP) ‘Best TV sports show host of the year’ sacked from the company.

However, following the latest exposé by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas which exposed deep-rooted corruption and fraud at the Ghana Football Association, Songo is set to be reinstated as the host of the show that has won several awards.

Songo, who in the minds of many has been vindicated by the incriminating evidence found by Anas against the former GFA President announced his return last Friday, calling on his fans to expect a new level of ‘ogya’ from him.

Songo who has been tight-lipped on the issue since the video was aired, is expected to go all out and aim more attacks at Kwesi Nyantakyi and other GFA officials who were implicated in the undercover documentary.

He is also expected to send some fire to the Sports Ministry and the Presidency for how they are handling the issue.

Some Ghana Premier League clubs, particularly Kotoko and Hearts will be served what is due them by the Fire Man when he ‘takes over’ the show today.

Members of Interim Management Committee formed by the government are also expected to receive their share of the ‘fire’.
