Mahama invested €1.8m water expansion in Akufo-Addo’s hometown – Dauda

President John Dramani Mahama has proved to be unbeatable in infrastructure development across the length and breadth of the country, according to the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda.

Speaking at the launch of the NDC campaign held at the Central regional capital, Cape Coast, Alhaji Dauda said from Guggisberg time up to the end of Kufuor’s regime, the country could only produce 93 million gallons of water daily for Ghanaians.

However, he touted the NDC government’s commitment to improve potable water in Ghana, indicating that there has been a marked improvement of water production from the 93 million gallons of water to 65.7 million gallons of water produced within the West African nation.

For him, President Mahama could not even leave out Nana Addo’s hometown, Kibi, where not less than 1.8 million euros was invested to give the town their share of the national cake in respect of water expansion.

“Akufo-Addo claims not to have seen the many development projects undertaken by the john Mahama-led administration but when he goes to his hometown, he could access potable water that John Mahama government has accomplished in Kibiwater. When a committed president like John Mahama is working to bring development to all the nooks and crannies of this country, what we could do is to promote him and retain him in government for a second term so he could consolidate development for us,” Alhaji Dauda said.

The Cape Coast stadium is playing host to thousands of NDC supporters from the ten regions of Ghana, in the launch of the campaign ongoing at the newly built Cape Coast stadium.

Party leaders say the big event will mark the beginning of an earnest campaign to sit the opposition outside government for the NDC’s second term in office in another polls slated for December 7.
