The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party says he had a very good laugh when he heard claims by former President Mahama that he wants to return to power, to rescue Ghanaians.
According to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the political task ahead of the former President would never see the light of the day since he would be losing to President Nana Akufo-Addo again during the 2020 presidential elections.
Former President John Dramani Mahama says his second coming is to rescue Ghana from the terrible performance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his appointees.
He claimed Ghanaians are “disillusioned” under the direction of the Akufo-Addo led government.
“I think that Ghanaians are more discerning now…after what we’ve all gone through, any politician who comes dangling promises before you, you’ll look at him twice…or, if any politician comes to you and says, Try me’, you’ll turn and run away,” Mahama said during a meeting with party members in London.
But the NPP stalwart popularly known as Chairman Wontumi noted that it would have been better for him (John Mahama) to call on the producers of Mission Impossible and star alongside Tom Cruise in the next movie series.
Chairman Wontumi noted that "Nobody takes Mahama serious when he says certain things these days. I have heard about his fake rescue mission but I believe he meant the movie mission Impossible.
Maybe he wants Hollywood to star him alongside Tom Cruise or wants Tom Cruise to hire him. Mahama wasn't talking about politics I believe deep down in his heart he was dreaming of Hollywood and I wish him goodluck".
He continued that "if for any reason John Mahama is talking and thinking about political rescue, then I want to tell him bluntly that he won't win. Opposition is his perpetual home and he shouldn't think about political rescue.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has already been made our rescuer and we don't need Mahama's service. Free senior high school has been successful implemented under Nana Akufo-Addo and we have a lot of things to point to which testifies that the administration of Nana Akufo-Addo is one million times better than what John Mahama left behind".
