President Mahama’s participation highlights the importance government attaches to the teaching profession and its role in national development, particularly as the Ghana Education Service (GES) marks 50 years of existence.
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, is the Special Guest of Honour, while veteran statesman Opanin Kwame Pianim is chairing the conference.
Delegates are expected to adopt resolutions on teacher welfare, education policy reforms and strategies to strengthen the teaching profession as the sector navigates ongoing reforms and institutional milestones.
