Man butchers co-tenant at Bekwai

A man believed to be in his 40s Koofie Yeboah has been butchered by his co-tenant identified as Kwabena Baafi yesterday Monday at New Asanso a suburb of Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.

According to a source (name withheld), Koofie confronted the suspect (Kwabena) who also sustained injury on his head for dumping rubbish at his doorsteps.

The source explained that the suspect lately sweeps his room and accumulate the rubbish right in front of Koofie’s door steps, saying fight ensued when Koofie warned him to desist from the act.

A Journalist in the area, Nana Kwabena Poku Eben, reports that the approach by Koofie brought misunderstanding between the two and triggered Kwabena who went in for a cutlass and inflicted wounds on Koofie.

Both has since been conveyed to the Bekwai Government Hospital and are responding to treatment whilst the Bekwai Police Command have started investigation on the issue.
