“I received the phone call in the morning around 6 o’clock a.m. But there is a dead body around, so as part of our duties and responsibilities in the community, I have to also come around and see what is going on,” he said.
Atta Amo said upon arrival at the scene he immediately alerted the police to take over investigations.
“When I came around and I saw that there was a dead body around, so what I have to do was to inform the police for them to also come around,” he said.
He noted that the identity and cause of death remain unknown.
"We are waiting for the police to also come and do the investigation so that we will get to know what really transpired,” he added.
Residents say the incident has heightened fear in the area, with some calling for improved street lighting and stronger police presence to deter crime.
