Many Ghanaians think I'm a foreigner - Stonebwoy claims

Celebrated musician Stonebwoy has shared that many Ghanaians tend to mistake him for a foreigner, particularly a Jamaican, due to his dancehall style and international collaborations.

In a recent fashion interview making waves on social media, the BHIM Nation president when asked about a common misconception surrounding him, remarked, "They think I'm from Jamaica in Ghana. Most of my people think that I'm foreign."

Stonebwoy's Jamaican-inspired vibe often leads Ghanaians to believe he is from the Caribbean. As a prominent figure in the dancehall scene, he has worked with some of Jamaica’s top artistes, including Morgan Heritage and Sean Paul.

In a past interview, he revealed that he has collaborated with over 47 artistes, with more projects still unreleased. This, he believes, has gained him acceptance on Jamaican soil, leading Ghanaians to increasingly relate to him as such.

During the fashion interview, Stonebwoy was asked to rate his outfit. He confidently responded, "No, we do 100, we don't do 10."

He detailed his attire, saying, "Balenciaga's, of course. The chrome Balenciaga hoodie. All plain virements from Paris. Flannel Homme, some Gucci. Jewellery from Just Frost London. That's where everybody gets their stuff. Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Patoranking, Adebayor, your footballers.”
