The Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Dr. Athony Nsiah Asare has urged health workers not to be deceived by the vile propaganda by the Women’s Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Hannah Bissiw, about the medical drones yet to be operationalized in the country.

The (NDC) Women’s Organizer, a trained Veterinarian says the government’s medical drones services will largely invade the privacy of rural folks instead of the perceived project of delivering blood to the rural areas.

She explained that the drone technology will clandestinely take pictures of naked rural women as the equipment fly over them in their roofless bathrooms.

“Those drones have videos in them. So I am telling Nana-Addo and Bawumia that the drone they are bringing, which can take pictures, and has someone sitting behind computer and navigating it in villages in the name of supplying blood, we know CHPS compounds do not offer blood.

“That thing can take pictures and so when it passes by your village and your bathroom, it will take pictures. So the men listening to me, those drones can take pictures of your naked wives when they are bathing because in the villages our bathrooms are not covered. So they can take pictures of your naked breasts and butts. We know those drones can take pictures but we don’t want the drones, we want those vans that John Mahama was using to supply blood, those vans were effective and helpful,” Bissiw said this Saturday at Asamankese in the Eastern Region during a Party for Constituency Women Organisers and widows in the region by the Regional Women Organiser Shirley Naana Osei Ampem.

But in reaction to the obvious mischief, Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare described the statements by Dr Hannah Bissiw as outright lies because the medical drones have not fixed cameras.

“If you are a health worker and you don’t understand it please seek information before you also fall for Hanna Bissiw’s vile propaganda. The medical drones have no cameras installed in them and they are not like the drones you see at functions like funerals, weddings, etc please

“We shall train everyone who will have something to do with medical drones and the drones are not for only blood delivery but for essential medicines, vaccines, non medical consumables in times of emergencies, blood and blood products delivery to all health facilities in the catchment area within the Distribution Centre,” Dr. Nsiah Asare noted.

He added that the Ghana Health Service shall take advantage of technology to improve efficiency in health care delivery to achieve its universal equitable quality health services, adding that everyone everywhere needs quality health care.
