Lawyer Amanda Akuokor Clinton who represents a number of aggrieved Menzgold customers in court has asked the Deputy Attorney General for further information to truly confirm that Nana Appiah Mensah has been acquitted in Dubai as reports suggest.

Barister Clinton is seeking for clarifications from Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, to determine whether the subsequent phone calls he made and messages received from Ghana's Consul-General's department in Dubai were accompanied with an official letter-headed document to confirm the fact

Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, on Thursday 11th April 2019, ‘quickly’ leapt to the defense of the embattled Menzgold CEO in an announcement that NAM1 never duped a businessman in Dubai as his victory in court proves.

He also stated that he (Nana Appiah Mensah) can only return to Ghana when a 30-day period for possible appeal against him in DubaI elapses.

But reacting to that, Madam Clinton among several concerns raised, asked if any Consul-General of Ghana representatives were present in court during the said court trial or judgment in favour of Mr. Mensah and also if he would be brought back to Ghana by government or Interpol

She added, with the level of public interest in the matter as well as the possible ramifications NAM1’s acquittal might have in terms of her clients' case against Nana Appiah, it would it be necessary if the Deputy Attorney General adequately serves the public further clarity regarding the matter.
