Some customers of Menzgold Ghana Limited are already at designated centres to validate their documents for settlement of their locked-up funds.
The gold-dealership company announced last Wednesday that it will begin validation of customers from Monday, October 28 to Thursday, November 28 in order to achieve a “desired outcome” of settling them all.
The exercise has been scheduled to take place in four regions – Greater Accra, Central, Western and Ashanti regions.
At Adum, one of the two centres for the exercise, anxious customers were at the designated centre before 9:00am, when it is scheduled to start across all the four regions.
The customers had lined up with their documents in mostly brown envelopes to validate them for expected payments.
The validation will see a presentation of photocopies of gold-trading agreements, receipts as well as any valid national ID card by each customer.
