The Savannah Regional Coordinating Council (SRCC) has assured any person(s) of a reward of GHS10,000 if they provide information leading to the retrieval of its missing white Toyota Hilux pick-up with registration No. ER 3516-19.
The car went missing on 4 July 2019, after the Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah, allegedly instructed that the vehicle should be parked at the private residence of one Sulemana Illiasu and travelled to the national capital.
Subsequently, the police arrested two suspects including Mr Illiasu due to inconsistencies in the accounts of the whereabouts of the vehicle.
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Yussif Tanko, who issued a release on Tuesday, 23 July 2019, said the: “The public is, therefore, urged to intensify their assistance to the police and any person or group whose information will lead to the arrest and retrieval of the said vehicle will receive the cash reward.
“Any person with information on the suspects or the vehicle should contact the police on the following numbers for necessary action: 0245976618 or 0242055550”.
Investigations are already underway concerning the missing vehicle.
