Mubarak Wakaso contributed significantly by providing an assist as Deportivo Alaves posted a 3-1 victory over Huesca in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday afternoon.
The midfielder, who has been invited for the dead-rubber 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Accra this month, could not make the starting line up but proved his mettle when he came on in the 85th minute.
Just a minute after being introduced, Wakaso delivered a defence splitting pass to Jonathan Calleri, who fired past Huesca goalkeeper to seal the win.
Calleri gave Alaves the lead but it was canceled
out by Avila before halftime. However, the lead Guidetti restored the lead in the 72nd minute.
The appearance was Wakaso's 21st in the league this season.
