Reports gathered by The Publisher indicate that the Ashanti regional branch of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) is cash-strapped.
Sounding worried as he made the shocking disclosure on radio, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire, Ashanti Regional NADMO coordinator, said the lack of fund and resources are seriously impeding the smooth operations of the organization in dealing with its disaster management obligation.
He said the situation is so bad that he very often had to use his personal resources to finance some NADMOs activities.
Speaking on Nhyira FM, he said his outfit had, for some time now, been struggling to get cash to operate as expected.
He, however, expressed the readiness of his staff to work despite lack of resources.
“Yes it is true. I have been using my own resources to finance most of NADMOs operations in the region. I feel honoured to be appointed to such a high position by the president so I am ready to sacrifice for NADMO”, he said.
