The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin says he is fired up to go all out to win the vacant flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), come December 7, 2018, when the party goes to the polls to decide on the fate of the contestants.

Addressing journalists at his Kajaanor private office in Accra, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, to react to some issues that came up during his campaign to the Volta Region, Hon. Bagbin said nothing can stop him at this hour from pursuing his goal to redeeming the umbrella family from the hardship they are going through.

The Nadowli/Kaleo MP, having entered the NDC race has the likes of Prof. Joshua Alabi, Sylvester Mensah, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, Stephen Atubiga, Dr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Elikplim Agbemava, John Dramani Mahama and Goosie Tanoh to overcome in the polls to become the leader of the NDC going into election 2020.

He told the gathering that he is very confident that he will surmount what some political connoisseurs have described as “mission impossible” looking at how members in the NDC fraternity are receiving him.

Asked whether his indiscretion comments about persons with disability have in any way dented his image and chances of winning the contest, the longest serving Member of Parliament (MP) retorted that his chances are still bright despite his gaffe.
