Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) leader Thomas Nuaku Ward-Brew in an interview with Network Herald had some harsh words for the ruling New Patriotic Party.

He accused them of engaging in the same old economic quagmire like its predecessor making Ghanaians very disappointed and hopeless in them. To that effect, he pointed at the DPP as the third force and only viable political alternative to both the NDC and NPP in the year 2004 general elections. He even went to the extent of predicting that both the Wulensi and the Navrongo Parliamentary by-elections shall go in favor of his party.
