The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Obuasi Municipal Assembly in the erstwhile Mahama administration Richard Akwasi Boadi Agyeman popularly called ‘Zubah’ has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of paying GHS10,000 each to 13 escapees Delta Force members.

According to him, the monies were paid to the Delta Force members to shut up from spewing venom and also going on a rampage in their quest to be appointed by the Akufo-Addo’s government into the various State institutions.

Speaking with Lantam Papanko on Ultimate Breakfast Show, he threatened to invoke the powerful ‘Antoa Nyama’ deity on any NPP chairman or member who will publicly dare him.

Zubah indicated that he was ready to forgo the Bible and face any member of the NPP who challenges him on the allegation by invoking the curse.

The former Obuasi MCE claimed there was a consultative meeting with the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the monies were paid to the aggrieved ‘boys’ to cool down their tempers as their actions painted a gloomy picture about the government.

He said the monies were paid after the ‘boys’ apologised to the President at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

‘When they went to pay GHS10,000 each to the 13 Delta Force boys who vandalised the court and were remanded, they compensated them ahead, about 300 of them and each one of them was paid the GHS10,000.00. Whatever happens in the NPP I hear, I am telling you on authority, if anyone of the leadership come out to deny, we will put Bible aside and buy egg and Schnapps to invoke curse, we will call on Antoa Nyama. The monies were compensation to the members,’ he alleged.

The 13 members of the group who were standing trial for assaulting the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei, with the help of their 8 colleagues escaped court custody.

They were remanded and later granted bail with fine and sureties.
