Nana Addo outdoors new NPP ID Card Wednesday

The Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo will outdoor the new membership card of the party on Wednesday at the auditorium of Miklin Hotel at Danyame in Kumasi.

The event which is expected to attract high profile personalities including national and regional executives of the NPP, is also aimed at whipping up awareness for members to get enrolled onto the new registration system of the party.

Sources within the party disclosed that the media launch which preceded Wednesday’s event has been a great success hence the move to the “world bank” of the NPP to further raise awareness among members of the party in Ashanti Region and nationwide.

Kumasi has been chosen for the maiden edition of the promotion of the card because the hierarchy of the party believes the region is the heartbeat of the NPP and the need for members to be abreast with latest reforms.

The promotion of the new membership card will also be replicated in other regions throughout the country to ensure that members get registered and get access to the benefits the card provides.

Holders of the verified new identity card can transact business with their cards just like other debit cards used by financial institutions in the country.

The Electronic identity card serves as a payment system for all its members and sympathizers to be able to financially contribute towards the running of the party, through the platform.

The introduction of the electronic membership card for the party’s existing and new members is also aimed at reducing incidents of the issuance of fake cards by unauthorized companies to unsuspecting members of the NPP.

According to the party, the system is geared towards broadening the ownership base of the party while ensuring a dubious free process, as to who becomes a stakeholder in the party.

Card bearing members and sympathizers of the NPP after acquiring the new card can load monies onto them to pay their dues, contribute any amount of money to the party and purchase party items including paraphernalia which would be delivered directly to their doorstep.

The new card promises to help the NPP raise sufficient funds to embark on numerous activities that would inure to its electoral fortunes in 2016.
