Social media users have criticised staff of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following the unveiling of a bust, in honour of COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the head of the institution.
Netizens questioned the achievements and policies of COP Addo-Danquah that warranted such an honour.
Staff of EOCO unveiled the bust in appreciation of COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah’s contributions to staff welfare within the institution.
The inscription accompanying the bust reads “Obaatanpa Tiwaa Gardens to the Glory of God dedicated to COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs) by the entire staff of EOCO in appreciation of her invaluable contribution to the welfare of the members of staff on Friday, 18th October 2024.”
Reacting to the development, however, investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni stated that he would have questioned his own competence if he were in Tiwaa’s position.
He posted on X, saying, “If I headed a security institution, such as EOCO, and my staff built a bust in a park on the premises of organisation, and the only time I got to know about it was when the bust was unveiled, I would be worried about my competence. I wouldn’t be happy to have my surprise captured on camera.”

This woman claimed "I know where the Taadi girls are."
She didn't.
Under her, EOCO has not investigated any of the major scandals plaguing the current regime to a conclusion. When your own staff celebrate you, instead of the general public you are serving, there is a problem!

👎🏿
This woman should rather be fired and even jailed instead of this useless immortalisation of her. That bust must be demolished by the next NDC government

If you’re looking for one of the most useless & bunch of incompetent men/women in our national security architecture; if you pass EOCO I can assure you that there’s nothing else you’ll see. EOCO is the beginning & end of anything useless.

What notable achievements or policies has Tiwaa Addo-Dankwa accomplished at EOCO to merit a commemorative plaque?

We urgently need a bill tabled before parliament that prohibits the naming of parts or whole of public property in honor of any living person.
Specifically, public sector workers who already receive a salary for their service to the nation. https://t.co/mknRZuUBiO
You can only imagine the thoughts of the parents of the 3 murdered Takoradi girls when they see this https://t.co/xYkz7mqIvG
