English Premier League side West Ham United have officially appointed former Chelsea manager Graham Potter as their new head coach.

In a statement released on their website, the club confirmed that Potter has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal that will run until 2027.

Speaking to the club's media, Potter expressed his excitement about taking the helm at West Ham United.

“I am delighted to be here. It was important to me that I waited until a job came along that I felt was right for me, and equally that I was the right fit for the club I was joining. That is the feeling I have with West Ham United,” the statement read.

The appointment means Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus will now play under his third manager in just two seasons at West Ham.

Potter replaces Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked by the Hammers after nearly a year in charge.

Lopetegui joined West Ham in May 2024, signing a two-year contract to replace David Moyes after his tenure ended at the close of the 2023/2024 season.

The 58-year-old departs with West Ham United positioned in the bottom half of the Premier League table, sitting 14th with 23 points.

During his time in charge, Lopetegui managed the team in 20 Premier League matches, achieving 6 wins, 5 draws, and 9 defeats.
