-Takes Terminal Leave Prior To Retirement

News Desk Report

Mr. Paul Tawiah Quaye, The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), embarks on his 90 days terminal leave starting tomorrow, February 5, 2013.

Many security analysts and personnel of the police service are happy that Mr. Paul Tawiah Quaye has set a precedent that when one is due for leave, you take it and go and rest, instead of lobbying for extension or contract to stay on.

Below is the statement from the Presidency granting approval to Mr. Paul Tawiah Quaye’s request to take his leave prior to his retirement, and not as has been widely reported by a section of the media that the IGP was hunted out of office.
