  I want to remind those who know nothing about the Police Heracles should keep quiet and stop politicizing the issue.They should go to the records at the headquarters and will know the records of the men.Gone were the days when policemen temper with their record after sometime just to remain in the service.Thanks to the foresight of the out going IGP who have put everything on database that no body can change anything.If it is your time of retirement everybody knows that.Don't who don't know this should know that IGP is not a rank to reach but it is just an appointment and even any rank from an Assistant Commissioner can be appointed to be IGP.Mr Alhassan knows when his time is up and it is only the President if he so wishes can retain him.Even if you are on retirement and your service is needed you can be re-engaged to serve at any time.I hope and pray that the President should conduct a research within the police and appoint the right person to head the police service which is full of corruption.There is another way to clear the mess and a strong military man with vision can be temporarily engaged to clear the mess in the service.Those who may not agree should go to the police hospital and see the changes that has taken place due to the effort of the Administrative Officer manning there

  Mr Alidu Bar,do you want to tell me that there is no person in the Ghana police service who is uncorrupted including you as a policeman who is still in the service\.Your revelation confirms the old British song which says in part,and I quote,constable Joe we know every police man is a thief.Please if this is the true position of the Ghana police service then it needs serious re- oreintation and re structure of the police service to curb the thifery and all forms of corruption in the service,since co -opting a military man to come and clear the so-called mess cannot work as he will find himself conpremising with the system since corruption has become instituionalised.I will also suggest that the Government should institute a commision of inquiry into why the police is corrupt and what can done to save the situation.
