Ghanaian prophet and founder of Roja City International Church, Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roja, has warned of what he described as troubling times ahead for South Africa, claiming the country would one day become ‘”mpty” as people flee its borders.

In a viral video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 4, 2026, Prophet Roja said South Africa would face severe hardship over what he described as the mistreatment of Ghanaians living in the country.

“There is no nation that will rise against Ghana and survive. Ghana doesn’t have soldiers, policemen, immigration officers to take them to the war front but Ghana has more than war,” he said.

The prophet further claimed that South Africans would “go through hell” because of their actions toward Ghanaians, adding that a dangerous period was approaching for the country.

“South Africa will be empty. They would have wished that there were people living there. They would open their doors for foreigners to come but no one will go,” he stated.

Drawing comparisons to past violence, Prophet Roja warned of what he termed ‘the new Rwanda’ coming to South Africa, while urging Ghanaians residing there to reconsider their stay.

“So, I am advising Ghanaians still living in South Africa, if you have accomplished in life and can continue to live there, continue, but if you can’t, quickly come back to Ghana because South Africa has turned upside down,” he cautioned.

His comments come amid longstanding concerns over periodic xenophobic attacks in South Africa, where some foreign nationals, including Ghanaians, have at times been targeted in violent incidents, sparking diplomatic concerns and public outcry across the continent.
