No situation will ‘quieten’ him he says, he’ll always stand for the truth and for that reason, he is already speaking his mind on the supposed allegations being levelled against him in connection with the murder of Tiger Eye Team Member, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong who has been in the news since morning for his alleged involvement in the assassination of Ahmed Hussein-Suale says he will have nobody bully him and take his rights for granted all in the name of allegations.
Reacting to suggestions that previous comments about the deceased and exposure of his photos in the media contributed to his tragic demise, he insisted that the young man was in no way relevant to him for which reason he finds it amusing that people will link him to his death.
He also maintained in an exclusive interview with Accra-based Asempa FM that though he is ready to cooperate with the police for investigations to proceed, he expects that they first invite and question Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his lawyer before they involve him.
"I was only interested in revealing their shady deals, he was not relevant to me and did not offend me so I don’t see why I should have anything to do with his murder. I find these allegations stupid. I will freely cooperate with the police but they should first invite the ‘foolish’ lawyer of Anas, then, they can invite my fine self. I will not allow my rights to be violated”, he said on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ show.
Background
The country woke Thursday morning to the sad news of the assassination of Ahmed Hussein-Suale who played a key role in Anas’ explosive investigations.
Ahmed reportedly was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding a motorbike.
Mr. Agyapong, since the incident has been accused by social media users of having contributed to the assassination.
Majority of the hits stem from the fact that Mr. Agyapong apparently released the deceased’s pictures sometime back as part of efforts to reveal what he described as ‘hidden secrets’ of Anas Aremeyaw Anas following the explosive Number 12 piece.
Lawyer for the undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, also called for Kennedy Agyapong to be questioned considering he incited the public against Ahmed through earlier comments he made after the release of Anas’ Number 12 piece.
