James Kwabena Bomfeh, also called Kabila, has condemned the physical assault on the newly-appointed Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, George Agyei.

The attack which occurred on Friday, March 24 saw some muscular men of a vigilante group within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Delta Force, forcibly removed the Security Coordinator from his office.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kabila questioned the authority of the Delta Force to pounce on the Security Coordinator and sack him out of his office because they share alliance with the ruling party.

To him, he doesn't believe the vigilante group operated of their own volition but rather a powerful kingpin in the party might have incited them to carry out such a despicable act.

Kabila sternly warned the Nana Addo administration not to repeat the mistakes of the previous government.

He admonished the current administration not to repeat the actions of the erstwhile NDC government or face the wrath of Ghanaians like they did to the Mahama administration.

He therefore served notice to the government, saying "power is transient, never absolute" and called on the leadership of the party and the security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the incident.

He noted that the perpetrators should be prosecuted.

Kabila sought to remind the NPP government how easy it is for them to lose the power they have if they develop the spirit of arrogance and greed among other noxious character traits.

“To those of you with power in your hands today thinking you can use the power we’ve given you to do things and disgrace your government and turn ugly to the extent that Ghanaians will reject you; continue with your actions. Continue with your actions but realize that it won’t last forever," he stated.

The CPP member further shared a word of wisdom with the government, saying "greed, lust and selfishness and so forth; they’re motivated by folly because in the end, you will look for the things that you cannot spend. You’ll look for the things that you cannot hold. You will look for the things that alone, you cannot enjoy.”
