A security analyst Emmanuel Sowatey has urged the Ghana Police service to immediately restore protection for the whistle blower in the murder of the Abuakwa North MP JB Dankwa-Adu.
The informant in an exclusive interview with Starrfmonline.com alleged that the police have withdrawn all forms of security and support that was given him when he first blew the cover of Daniel Asiedu, the suspected murderer of the late MP.
This action, he says, has left him and his family living in fear. Mr. Sowatey told Starr News it is crucial for the police to assure the whistle blower of his security.
“They shouldn’t have withdrawn it, I think the police should come back and try and encourage the guy to feel more secured by giving him physical protection.
“I will also urge the police to extend it a little to other actors and sensitize people on how to be more vigilant and aware of their immediate surrounding and review their personal security more often”.
He added that this will be a test case for the law enforcement agency.
