Founder and CEO of the Atta-Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has called for Communications Minister in the current NPP administration, Ursula Ekuful to immediately withdraw her unacceptable statement regarding “she and some people owning Ghana” because it does not augur for peace.
According to him, Ursula made an “extremely reckless and condemnable statement”.
The communications minister is alleged to have said her colleagues in the minority left their senses behind when they walked out of Parliament.
The Ablekuma West member of parliament who was not happy about the minority's walkout on the State of the Nation Address said: “staging a walkout without reason looks as if they have taken leave of their senses, excuse me to say; particularly when their leadership also indulges in this completely unnecessary and senseless exercise".
She has also been criticised for claiming that the NPP is happy for taking over the affairs of the state because they are the rightful owners.
Reacting to these comments, Mr. Anyidoho said the comments were unfortunate hence the need for the MP to retract and apologise to the NDC.
“She must withdraw this bigotry-laced, puerile statement and apologise unreservedly to Ghanaians. Ghana belongs to all Ghanaians and not a few inward looking persons.”
