Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson insists Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp will return to action soon.
Schlupp has been out of action for the past couple of weeks due to an injury but his manager revealed that he is progressing well and could feature in the next couple of games.
“Jeffrey Schlupp is progressing quicker than anticipated given the injury he had,” Hodgson stated on Thursday in a pre-match presser ahead of their game with Brighton on Saturday.
“Options up front are a nice problem to have. Last week we had Wilf Zaha and Andros Townsend up top, an 18-year-old on the bench. With those two forwards hopefully coming back we’ll have options. Hopefully, Jeffrey Schlupp will be back in contention in the next couple of weeks.”
Schlupp who has played as a defender, winger and a striker this season has made 22 appearances providing one assist.
