The General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has said President John Mahama cannot be trusted to deliver on the promises he gave in Thursday’s State of the Nation Address.

This, according to him, is due to the fact that the President has failed to deliver on similar promises in the past.

President Mahama yesterday gave his 3rd state of the Nation address in parliament which was interlaced with numerous promises, including his commitment to ending the erratic power supply in the country.

But reacting to the address, Mornah told StarrFMonline.com the President does not have the reputation of delivering on his promises.

“I think that the President’s call for a national agenda on which all of us can be to critically examine the situations that confront our nation is well understood.

“But [the] question is; this is the same President who assured the entire nation that upon assumption of office, he was going to have interface with political parties and political party leaders, but ask him and his team if they have had even a single interface with political parties.

“So possibly, talk is cheap and the President has once again made the point. He has said some things in the past that he did not honour, can we rely on him today? “ Mornah wondered.
