Sam George (L) has responded to Paul Yandoh (R) over his criticism
The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has responded to former Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, after the latter questioned how he managed to pursue legal studies despite his busy schedule as a public official.
Yandoh had raised concerns about how the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, who doubles as a minister, was able to find time to study law while performing his demanding official duties.
Speaking on the matter, Yandoh expressed surprise at the increasing number of politicians pursuing legal education, particularly those occupying demanding public offices.
"Today, everybody is studying law and I wonder whether, during the NPP's time in government, it was the government that prevented people from passing or something.

"I saw Sam George, and I wondered how he managed to attain that status because he is a minister and has been very busy. So, how did he pass?
"Because when his wife was taking care of him, he wasn't studying law but now that he is a minister, he has become a lawyer," he said.
However, responding to the remarks in an interview on Oyerepa TV on October 13, 2026, Sam George dismissed the concerns, explaining that he had devoted his time to studying while Yandoh was busy engaging on social media.
He further challenged Yandoh to provoke the Ashanti Regional Minister, D Frank Amoakohene, again if he wanted proof of his legal capabilities.
"My brother Paul wants to come to the seashore. Frank is not enough for you. The time he spends on social media is the same time I spend studying.
"If he wants to know that I am a lawyer, he should offend Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, again, and he will see what I will do to him in court," he stated.
