Ghana international, Baba Abdul Rahman is likely to leave Schalke in January in pursuit of regular first-team action.
Rahman has been o loan at the German club from English giants Chelsea and was expected to command the first-team action having returned from a protracted spell on the sidelines.
But things have not gone as planned as the former Augsburg man has struggled to play regularly at Schalke.
However, reports say the former Dreams FC defender met manager Domenico Tedesco before Christmas to express his desire to leave.
Rahman has now secured the permission of manager Tedesco to leave Schalke in January.
It is, however, unclear where the Ghana international will move to with clubs in England, Spain, Turkey and Italy interested.
A decision on where Baba will move to is expected to be made in the coming days and the move will be made official by the new year.
