The recent thuggery perpetuated by pro-NPP vigilante group Delta Force against Mr George Agyei, the head of the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinating Council, smacks of Stone Age behaviour which must be condemned in the strongest term, security analyst David Agbey has said.
“It tells us clearly that people are still in the Stone Age,” Mr Agbey told Moro Awudu on Class91.3FM’s Executive Breakfast Show on Monday, 27 March.
Last week, a horde of Delta Force members, mainly macho men, stormed the RCC and yanked out Mr Agyei amidst war chants.
They contended that he was alien to them and thus could not occupy the office into which he had been appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
They manhandled the President’s appointee despite the presence of police officers who whisked him to safety.
Mr Agbey said “the conduct of people is becoming more animalistic and that is what actually happened at the RCC in Ashanti Region and nobody should tolerate that.”
“This can never be done in any country. We need to be very mindful in this country. It can never be tolerated in any civil society at all.”
Meanwhile, the police have arrested Kwadwo Bamba, 37, an auto mechanic, who allegedly led the onslaught on Friday, 24 March.
