A man believed to 40-year-old, suspected to be an armed robber has been beaten to death at Ejura Mepeasem in the Sekyedumasi municipality of the Ashanti Region after they shot a mobile money operator.
Narrating the incident, an eyewitness, Mr. Seidu Saikati said,"The robbers were riding on a motorbike so after they finished with their operations they were trying to run but because unfortunately for them, they didn't know the area they bumped into a pothole on the rough road and veered off the road and In the process, one of the armed robbers made his way into the bush but the rider was apprehended and lynched by residents in the area",
In a telephone interview with Brytfmonline reporter, Grace Afumwaa, monitored by Razzonline.com, the Police Commander Supt Richardson Kumeko confirmed the news and said the police is currently investigating the matter.
The two armed robbers are yet to be named by the Municipal police commander, Superintendents Richardson Kumeko.
It would be recalled that a similar incident happened a fortnight ago when two armed robbers robbed a mobile money operator in the area, shot him in the back and made away with some unconfirmed amount of money.
