The Presiding Bishop of the Victory Bible Church, Bishop Tackie Yarboi has criticized government for keeping Ghanaians in the dark on how exactly it intends to solve the power crisis.

The Bishop who was furious with the Mahama-led administration for “failing to fix the worsening energy crisis” was speaking to his, over 500 congregants, on Sunday April, 26.

“Continually they tell us it would be solved next week, it would be solved next month, and we can all clearly see that it is not solved,” he remarked.

A branch of the Victory Bible church at Dome Pillar 2 in Accra was razed down by fire over the weekend after the church’s generator caught fire during a service.

Bishop Tackie Yarboi said such occurrences are pushing Ghanaians to lose confidence in the government’s ability to handle crisis situation.

He, however, called on the authorities to speak the truth to citizens.

“…they should tell us what the problems really are, and then all of us would sacrifice. All of us would put our hands on deck.

"But when we are told as if the problem is within a few months to be solved, and then tomorrow we are told something else, it shakes our confidence as a people”.
