Previous governments could not foresee the expansion of factories, industries, residential buildings etc as against Akosombo Dam. Previous governments were only interested in extending power to people instead of adding to Akosombo. In my estimation, it will take sometime to fix the problem. When it is fixed the country has to still plan to expand the power generation on conjunction with its development

Bishop Tackie Yaboi, if some one in your congregation told you that the fire out break was as a result of the generator catching fire, the person is a liar and has therefore made you to also be a liar. The fire outbreak was started by some always burning rubbish (bola) at the same place behind the church and that particular day, the fire was not controlled very well and the whole church caught fire. Your church elders know the truth but are seriously trying to shield the guy and blame it on the govt just because the current govt deserves every useless allegation. They earlier wanted to turn the story and blame it on ECG and when they were reminded that, ECG was off they decided to blame it on the generator catching fire when that particular morning there was no church activity let alone starting the generator. We must learn to tell the truth and stop this cheap behaviour. I implore the govt to institute a full scale investigation into the fire outbreak to expose this huge lies by the Bishop. The police should go into it to establish the truth.
